Our Story
After working for over a decade in some of the worlds largest financial institutions and few stints at startups, Ajit began to realize how far behind the financial industry was in implementing the technology. He started brainstorming with longtime friends from the industry and quickly zeroed in on the municipal bond issuance which is inefficient, opaque and technologically behind. It remains complex, paper-driven and dominated by large financial institutions. The idea of reimagining municipal bond market was born. It was the one idea that would keep him awake at night it wouldn’t leave him alone, and the startup was born as Investors Townhall. Ajit realized he needed help with automation and blockchain, which lead him to reach out and partner with Paul and Victor. Following in-depth research of the market and after consulting with industry experts and insiders they realized the opportunity was way more enormous than they could have imagined. At that point, the idea transformed into Bond Intelligence. As the plan began to unfold, Ajit needed additional help in data science and machine learning. He reached out to a longtime friend Ani, at the time he was in a postgraduate program in data science at the University of Washington, he would eventually connect Ajit with Julius from the business school and Franky from data science program.

Making BondIntelligence platform simple, focused, and immediately apparent is hard work. But we believe that by sticking to this goal, we can make something extraordinary for investors and issuers to find evaluate and transact effortlessly.
Individual participation in the municipal bond market
The municipal bond market is one of the best available tools for personal wealth creation, generating annual returns of around 6 to 9%, mostly tax-free over the last 50+ years and from a risk mitigation perspective it is as good as US treasury. Our goal is to empower a new generation of investors to take more significant ownership in their community, which we believe can help shrink the gap between the “haves” and the “have-nots” and contribute in building a more robust and ardent American Society.
